Harvest 2011: some anticipations

After the heave Autumn/Winter rainfalls followed a dry spell until the beginning of the Spring with temperatures higher than ever registered before for this period (the beginning of April) which favoured an anticipation of the vegetation of about eight days. The vines are well balances with ample vegetation and a good production. In particular, the new bunches are extremely long, enough to foresee that they will mature well being so separated. At the moment we are in the middle of an unstable phase with frequent rainfall despite which the anticryptogamic non conventional treatments (copper and essential oils) are giving encouraging results. If the present climate continues the start of harvest is foreseen to be anticipated.
