Welcome Harvest 2012

A date like any other.

A day like any other.

Yes, maybe for many, but not for us.

Today is one of those dates that then, for a year, you remember. One of those days that remain imprinted in the mind. It's our first day of harvest.

A day long waited for and that comes under a hot sun, a blue sky and a light breeze felt only in the shade of some great plant in the hills. It's like always, Pinot Grigio to give you a "good morning" to the 2012 harvest!

As is now customary for some years, I went through the vineyards all happy and excited to take some pictures of the grapes and to exchange a few words with our harvesters.

A smile strikes me immediately.

It is that of a child still on vacation from school who wants to experience the harvest with his dad.

It is Franco who, despite harvests seen more than a few, greets me by stating "It’s really hot!".

A carefree Enrico who says "Here's the photographer". I proceed to snap a few pictures between a bunch of grapes and a joke here and then.

I notice small quantities of grapes that seem slightly smaller than in the past. I immediately think: "Lower yield, higher quality," I wonder... better ask immediately Antonio that will enlighten me as always with his explanations and technical information about ...
